What is Tallow?

Tallow has been used as an animal-based skin care for thousands of years. Both the Romans and Ancient Eyptians used beef tallow moisturizers to cure burns and scrapes. Beginning in the 1950's, chemically derived petroleum-based products began to be introduced. Current skincare products marketed as "all-natural" products may still contain harmful substances such as herbicides, pesticides and agricultural chemicals. We don't want these compounds being absorbed into our skin, and don't imagine you do, either! Reading the labels on many of today's skincare products requires a degree in chemistry.

Why is Aloe Vera Good For Skin?

Aloe vera is an exceptional plant renowned for its numerous benefits for the skin. Its gel-like substance is packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that work wonders on the skin. Aloe vera exhibits remarkable moisturizing properties, keeping the skin hydrated and supple. It possesses soothing and calming qualities, providing relief to irritated or inflamed skin. Additionally, aloe vera aids in promoting the healing process of wounds and cuts, thanks to its healing properties. The plant's natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant components help combat free radicals and reduce skin damage, contributing to a youthful and radiant complexion. With its gentle exfoliating effect, aloe vera also assists in removing dead skin cells, unveiling a smoother and brighter skin texture. Overall, aloe vera is a natural powerhouse that soothes and revitalizes the skin, making it an excellent addition to any skincare routine.

Is Beef Tallow Good For Skin?

Tallow contains 50% saturated fat, biologically similar to the cellular membranes of healthy, youthful skin. These fatty acids are important for skin repair and regeneration. The antioxidants found in tallow cream, protect against damage caused by environmental stressors such as pollution, sun exposure, and other toxins. Collagen creates the support structure of our skin, and helps provide a firm, youthful appearance. Maintaining the health of our collagen with tallow, promotes a healthier, more youthful appearance. Vitamin A, found in tallow, helps the sebaceous (oil) glands in our skin to function optimally. Additionally, vitamin A promotes cell production and replacement. These new cells can help reduce acne and skin irritations. Vitamin E, found in tallow, has anti-inflammatory properties and promotes blood flow and collagen production. Tallow cream protects and reinforces against breakouts caused by allergies, sun exposure and skin conditions. These benefits are the reason we use natural, health-promoting, beef tallow skin care products.
