Do We Use Lye?
All soap bars use lye. The lye is consumed in the saponification process as molecules of oils and lye interact and reform to create molecules of soap and glycerin.The final product does not contain lye, so no worries there!
Essential Oils vs Fragrance Oils
Essential oils are pure plant extracts used for scenting or aromatherapy, where fragrance oils are synthetically made substitutes for essential oils. Because fragrance oils contain synthetic compounds, they can dry and irritate sensitive skin.
Any time you see "fragrance," "perfume," or "parfum," it's synthetic and not natural.
Can These Be Used For Sensitive Skin?
Most likely, yes! Our soap bars contain no synthetics, but we recommend our unscented bar for skin sensitivities.
